About the Participant

Free S. Bàssïbét

Free S. Bàssïbét currently works as a researcher and artist. They study and augment artifacts of the status quo to propose abstract and absurd realities. FS graduated from Northwestern University in 2019 (BS) and presently (2023) attends the University of Washington in Seattle (MFA). Born in Elmina, Ghana in 1997, FS immigrated to the United States in 2000. FS says he is motivated to illuminate the imagined thresholds binding social constructs to real systems and institutions.
