About the Participant

Kyra “Wolf” Wolfenbarger

Kyra “Wolf” Wolfenbarger is a Seattle-based visual artist using radically imaginative works to make topics we think we know (namely topics of race and intersectionality) wildly unfamiliar, forcing us to approach them in new ways. Rooted in interdisciplinary collaboration and ethnography, Wolf’s art is in conversation with creatives ranging from poets to musicians and is largely informed by Black familial archival work. Wolf’s archival research has been presented at Seattle-based art galleries such as the Jacob Lawrence Gallery and the Henry. Wolf is set to graduate with a BA(Hons) from the University of Washington in 2025.
